Anahit Stelmashova, a gifted young Armenian pianist from Akhalkalak, Georgia, continues to make steady progress in her musical journey, thanks to the generous support of Levon & Ana Afeyan of Montreal. Recent Highlights
This past November, Anahit had the opportunity, with the super help of Nareh Arghamanyan, to perform on Stars & Talents with Leona König, a project broadcast on national Austrian TV (ORF) that showcases young artists. Her accompaniment of world-renowned Michael Schade in Franz Lehár's Dein ist mein ganzes Herz demonstrated not only her technical skill but also her ability to connect deeply with the music and her fellow performers. It was a proud moment for all who support her journey. Anahit also participated in our Zartonk Music Academy in Yerevan last summer.
Building on a Strong Foundation
Over the years, the Levon & Ana Afeyan Prize has been pivotal in Anahit’s growth. This prize has provided her with a baby grand piano, supported vital lessons, and funded her participation in concerts and competitions across Armenia, Georgia, Russia and France. Now a student at the Tbilisi Conservatory under the renowned pedagogue Nino Katamadze, Anahit continues to refine her skills and deepen her understanding of music.
What’s Next?
Last year, Anahit’s talent earned her a place at the Schiermonnikoog Festival in Holland, where we sent her to work with celebrated pianist and pedagogue Avedis Kouyoumdjian. This year, she will continue to build on that experience with intensive sessions in Vienna under his guidance. These sessions are crucial steps in helping her prepare for the next stages of her career as a soloist. For this reason, the Prize is now considered a Fellowship!
