One of our main sponsors is the Vallex Group, owners of several mines in the region and the Vallex Garden Hotel where we are staying. Today, we were treated to a trip to Gandzasar, a 13th-century monestary considered a jewel of Armenian architecture. Surely a trip that will stay in the memory of all our students and faculty. Of special significance to us was the recording, on the spot, of a folk song from the region by our Zartonk folk music students under the direction of Artem Khachatur.
