Zartonk (Awakening) Music Academy, is an initiative of the Atken Armenian Foundation, and returns for 2024! After our successful runs in Vanadzor (2019) with Nareh Arghamanian as Artistic Director and Artsakh (2022) with Hasmik Papian as Artistic Director, we are excited to announce this year's academy in Yerevan. This year, as in 2022, the Artistic Director is the world-renowned soprano, Hasmik Papian.
WHAT?
Zartonk is a premier summer music academy offering state-of-the-art training—this year in collaboration with the Komitas State Conservatory and the Canadian Embassy in Armenia. We will select participants from the Opera Studio of the Conservatory, Atken Armenian Foundation Fellows, and through auditions for violin, flute, and chamber music. A final concert will feature the results of their efforts! πΆ
